Constitutional Change:
Final Vote to Change the Name of SAID and Amend Article V which shall read: "The officers of SAID shall constitute the Executive Commitee. This committee will consist of a President, President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer, and will be elected be a simple majority of SAID membership in attendence at the annual business meeting."

Again this year we will present the "pearls" you have gathered over your experiences. In a 3-8 minute presentation please share these "pearls" of wisdom and insight. It can be verbal, written, or audio-visual. The "pearl" can be from any aspect of your program.
Important Program Note:
All members should plan to stay for the business meeting on Friday at 11:15 AM. It could be one of the most important meetings in SAID history. We will be voting on a constitutional ammendment (see below), as well as a possible name change. Let's keep SAID viable and strong for years to come. Support your organization!
Constitutional Change:
Article V should be amended to read: "The officers of SAID shall constitute the Executive Commitee. This committee will consist of a President, President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer, and will be elected be a simple majority of SAID membership in attendence at the annual business meeting."

Presenters

Jerry Willette -Dr.Willette received his DDS degree from the University of Washington in 1975. In 1976, he accepted the position of Dental Director of Fircrest School, a residential center for persons with developmental disabilities, in Seattle. In 1979, he was appointed to the faculty of DECOD (Dental Education in Care of Persons with Disabilities). He served as acting Medical director of Fircrest School from 1994-2002. Over the past 24 years he has taught clinical dentistry and lectured in the graduate DECOD program. He currently holds appointments in Pediatric Dentistry and Oral Medicine at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. .

Dawn Bisesi - Ms. Bisesi joined Voice of the Retarded in Rolling Meadows, Illinois in August 2002 as Director of Development. She holds an MBA in Marketing Management from Northern Illinois University. Dawn has completed two levels of certification in Toastmasters International and served as Vice President of Public Relations in 2001.

Nelson Bryson - Mr. Bryson is managing Partner and President of Dental Support Services, Inc., a firm that provodes on and off site services, and creates service oriented product solutions to dental offices, clients, and public institutions throughout the Southeastern US. Dental Support Services was recently recognized as the fastest growing company in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Michael Romanowicz, DMD, RPh - Dr. Romanowicz is a 1987 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He received a pharmacy degree from Northwestern University and is a registered pharmacist. He has been a consultant to major pharmaceutical companies for design and implementation of therapeutic catagory disease management programs, pharmaoeconomic model development and product marketing. Currently, he is Vice-President of Professional Affairs & Managed Care for CollaGenex Pharmaceuticals.
